everytime we try to join it says ’session has expired’. do you have to have all four instraments to play? can you play 2 guitars vs 1 guitar? any explanation on how to get this to work would be great!

How do can i play guitar zero with my xbox 360 guitar hero 2 controller?

heyy guys i downloaded guitar zero and im trying to change the setting for my guitar hero 2 controller for xbox 360 can work on it. all the other buttons work except the strum bar. and the strum bar isnt broken so please help.

and if the guitar is not broken its probably because it’s a download. but make sure it’s not the guitar so use a different guitar to see if it works with it. if it’s not compatible with the downloaded disk then it wont work

can anybody recomend a guitar method book?

I’ve been playing for a little more than a year. I have all the basics down, but I want to be more confident as a player. I originally started with the “Hal Leonard Play Guitar Today Level 1″. Should I continue with Level 2 or is there something better?

If you are looking for a book, then go to any major guitar store in your area. Guitar Centers have a giant selection of books for beginners and intermediate players. It’s difficult to recommend something, because it really depends on the direction you want to go.

Here’s what I found from guitar method books. They teach you the basics of guitar and music, and they make you play some songs that I could really go without learning how to play. I recommend getting guitar lessons if you can afford them. The techinque in guitar, is really a major key to improving your skills. It helps to have somebody look at what you are doing and help you from there.

Also try online methods to learn scales, blues, solos, etc.

The most improvement I got, is when I decided to work on the basics on my own terms. Get a metronome and try to play songs that you want to learn or already know and perfect the timing of it. Timing is huge in music. If you can understand that timing is precise art in guitar, then you will improve greatly. Also posture and hand position is key. Make sure you are sitting straight up, that the guitar is completely vertical and not slightly slanted back towards you or away from up. Your strumming hand should be loose and relaxed and your wrist should be doing the strumming, NOT your arm.

Im having trouble teaching myself classical guitar.?

Im using a book called ‘Play Guitar Today Level 1′ and it seems pretty good. It teaches you the main notes on a string, string by string. When i come to practising the notes with the music they provide i find myself playing them from memory instead of reading the notes on the sheet.
Is this normal? i cant help it, my hands just start playing from memory and not from what im looking at. Also i cant keep time, even with a metronome. I find myself stopping and playing wrong notes, am i just doomed!

No your not doomed just keep plugging away at it and you’ll get it. Practice at a slower tempo until you can keep time, that is a very important part of all music, and essential in Classical music.
When learning a new piece break it up into smaller parts, and learn them perfectly. When you are ready to put it all together, play it all the way through without any stopping, if you hit a wrong note, just keep going. Practice at slower tempos until you can play the piece perfect, then work on speeding it up.
