play guitar chords on piano
How do you play these guitar chords on the piano?

Ok, I found these guitar chords to this song I want to learn on the piano, and I thought it might be easier to do this than to learn the song by ear.
Here are the chords: Em, C2, G, D

Em = E,G,B
C2 = just play C major = C,G,E
G = G,B,D
D = D, F#,A

hope this helps!

play guitar easy
Is it hard or easy to play the acoustic or the electric guitar?

is playing the guitar easy to play or hard to play, i want to start learning to play it so i want to know how hard or easy it would be, thanks for the help =)

Starting with electric guitar is better because your fingers adjust quickly to the metal strings and it isnt as sore as starting from nylon strings to steel.

But, the catch it, if you start with electric, you don’t want to buy a very expensive guitar because you might find that you don’t like guitar and are stuck with an expensive electric lol.

Its easy to start if you have a good musical ear, (can pick out notes and different pitches) and if you go to the right teacher. You can teach yourself guitar and alot of people do, but its better if you go to a teacher so they can gives you tips and hints about playing guitar

Hope this helped and good luck with your decision!

play guitar arpeggios

play guitar arpeggios
what type of pick do you think is the best to shred and play sweep-picked arpeggios on the electric guitar?

playing with a pick is not my strength, I usually play a nylon stringed guitar with my fingers, I’ve trying to play the electric guitar using a pick but I can’t play shit when I use a hard pick, I think it’s easier to play with a soft pick.
what do u think

I kinda agree with the others, medium to heavy is the best to get good emphasis during a solo.
HOWEVER…..
A few guitarists I’ve played with (pre-Metal days) who did Randy Rhodes type stuff liked the flimsy thin ones for sweep picking.
but it’s really not up to what anybody else thinks.
if you play better with a thin pick then go for it. You can also have different picks for different songs.If you want to play ballsy solos like Ritchie Blackmore or classic rock guitarists go with a medium stiff pick (tremolo picking and stiff notes)
But if you do songs for sweep picking switch to the thin ones.
BTW
I recommend Dunlop Nylon picks. They are indestructible and never get all chewed up like the hard plastic ones do. I’ve broken strings before when the string got caught in a notch in the side of the pick.
I bought 4 Dunlop picks and used the same picks for 10 years until I finally lost them all

when do you play guitar chords?

i’ve used to play the guitar a few years ago, up to grade 3. i know how to play the actual chords, but when do you actually strike the chords, is it to a beat, or to the rhythm? do you play play it to the time signature, or it just when you want. and can you strike it with your thumb, or a pick…i’m so lost, when i should know this.

Every song must maintain tempo unless a tacet is in place.
Start forming rhythm by playing in four-four time and then in three-four time.

In four-four time, strike the fundamental tone of your chord first, which is beat one. Strum downward and that is beat two. Repeat that procedure once more and you will have played a complete measure in four-four time.

To play in three-quarter time, which is waltz time, strike the fundamental bass note of the chord first. That is beat one. Then, strum down or up twice, making beats two and three.

Speeding up those tempos will eventually increase your ability to play rhythm with your own songs and with others.

I’ve used thumbpicks since I began to play and keep my right-hand fingernails at the right length for fingerstyle playing. I first began playing four-four time by picking the bass tone of the chord with my thumb and then flicking downward with my forefinger to get the remaining chord notes.

That process eventully turned into using all my fingers in rhythm patterns and increasing my ability to play fingerstyle.

Go slow at the beginning and have patience during practice sessions.

How to Play guitar chords for songs?

How do I play chords on a guitar for songs? If there is a letter above the line of music , for how long do I strum the chord, just once? CUz thety dont give you a time signature or anything.
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/b/beatles/i_wanna_hold_your_hand_ver2_crd.htm
like for this one? Do I just guess how long I strum I strum an how many times?

You have to know the song well enough to figure out the rhythm by ear. The chords are placed over the word where they change. In your example, They’ve actually used one letter for each beat in the intro, which ends on D. So you hold that last D until you see the G over the word “I’ll” ……..Then strum that G to the beat of the song until the word “something” when you change back to D. Then Em when you sing “I” and Bm in the middle of under-stand.

You just need to use your ear. Think of your right hand as the drums and keep beat with it. When you’re playing the song alone, you may have to strum differently than the record to make up for the fact that the rest of the band isn’t there to keep beat.
