Ok, I found these guitar chords to this song I want to learn on the piano, and I thought it might be easier to do this than to learn the song by ear.
Here are the chords: Em, C2, G, D
Em = E,G,B
C2 = just play C major = C,G,E
G = G,B,D
D = D, F#,A

Keyboard, mainly because there are so many basic piano lesson books and it doesn’t have fingering and tuning issues that the guitar does. Also, reading music on the piano creates a base for all other instruments. Stop in at a local music store and ask them for a basic piano series for adults. They will find the best option for you.

How long will it take me to learn Piano or Keyboard (already play guitar)?
I already play guitar well and understand theroy/chord construcion. I am not trying to be great or anything…just good enough to play pop and rock songs. I’ll eventually switch off between playing guitar and keys when I play live. I thinking of getting a keyboard with built in lessons. I’ll probaly put in an hour a day.

As long as you have a good concept of theory it’s only a matter of practice. Beautiful thing about the piano: you can see what you’re doing. Put in a solid hour a day and you’ll be somewhat competent in a month.

Yeah it will sound exactly the same (note -wise).
But if you just play the chords for a song, you have to sing a long or it won’t sound very much like the song.

I specifically am looking for the music and notes for a song called “Center of my World” by Chris Young. He is a new country music singer and i want to learn this song and play it for my girlfriend. Can you please find this online somewhere for me? Thank you!
If by “music notes” you mean notation, that will be hard to find online, especially for free. If you can read tab (it’s very simple) I’d suggest searching on some tab sites. A great one is www.911tabs.com. The flip-side to this is very rarely will you find quality tab readily available online.
My suggestion? Find what you can, learn that along with listening to the song, then if what you’re learning isn’t completely correct or is incomplete, fix it by listening to the song very carefully.
