Can I learn to play the guitar from Youtube videos?
How effective would this be? I’ve just been looking at peoples’ guitar lessons from certain songs. Some of them look pretty hard; like you need fast fingers. I have a guitar and I’m slowly learning.
Well first you need to learn the basics. Get a good beginners book (try amazon) and a good chord chart. Then try some of the youtube videos- they will be helpful.

I want to learn to play guitar, quickly and simply?
I really want to learn to play guitar, but don’t want a teacher (they’ll have me on all this classical stuff by the book) i just want the basics, and be able to play songs from reading tabs. Where can I go to learn quickly and easily?
There are lots of resources on the Internet for learning how to play guitar. The problem is knowing where to start and what to practice… Obviously you should start out by learning some basic chords and then some simple songs that use the chords you’ve learned.. This will take some practice! But stick with it and it will get much easier the more you practice. There is no overnight solution but if you stay focused and don’t jump around, within a couple of months you will be impressing yourself and your friends. The important thing is not to allow yourself to get overloaded with information. Learn a bunch of chords first… Playing the guitar can be fun and easy but takes some work. Honestly the first 2 or 3 months are the hardest and it’s when most people give up. You can also get a free beginners E book and lesson by going to the source link below that will walk you through many of the things you’re going to need to learn. It’s really a helpful book with some great advice!
I wanna watch my learn 2 play guitar DVD but I dont hav my lab top n my room anymore help please?
Okay I`m learning 2 play guitar and I cant read and learn everything in the book. I wanna watch the DVD 2 the book cuz that helps me 2. 2 c an example u know. Well, I dont have a lab top in my room anymore and I dont wanna watch the DVD in the living room in front of my dad. And I dont have a TV in my room either (shutup i feel bad about it enough that we cant afford that). I rele dont know why I dont want him seeing me watch the DVD (and well follow along on my guitar) I juss think it would b weird. And same thing with the TV in my mom and dads room. He`ll see me. And i dont want that!!! Help me please! BTW wherever I watch the DVD i haff 2 bring my guitar along so I can follow along with the DVD…duh.

why would you want to play the guitar if you can’t preform for anyone? people will want you to play once they know that you have a guitar. my uncle won’t leave me alone.
Learn to play acoustic guitar many strum patterns lesson
ok, i really want to learn how to play the guitar and i have an old acoustic guitar that works fine. i cant afford lessons right now but would still like to learn. does anyone know any good books or web sites to help out beginners who have no clue? the stuff ive found so far is usually too hard or too easy or if it is a good site, it stops putting out lessons…please help?
i think a quick easy way to learn is to learn from tablature. i have used them for a long time, you can find tabs for almost any song you want. just type in the song and tabs after the song name, there are also alot of places to teach you how to read tabs. also you can look up all kinds of lessons on youtube. most of them are really easy to follow, they have lessons for begginers to advanced, i hope this helps and good luck with learning to play
I know how to play the guitar by strumming how to do play by plucking?
how does plucking work? is it the same as strumming with chords
well, as a classical player, you are encouraged to learn by plucking and then with a pick. but whatever, that’s the formal way.
you should place your ring finger on the 1st string, the middle on the 2nd, and the index on the 3rd.
your thumb will play the rest of the bass strings.
if your reading music, your hand will not move from that position, but if your playing a song, try to maintain composure byu not plucking the 1st 3 strings with the thumb or the index on the 6th string.
there it is, the way to play on a “classical” way with all your fingers

how do you learn to play the electric guitar fast easy and free from your house?
I really want to learn how to play the electric guitar easily and for free but theres nothing thats free and that actually helps you learn electric guitar anyone know about somthing like online and thata worked for them?
There is no such thing as learning guitar “fast” and “easy”. If it were truly “fast” and “easy”, everyone would do it. And “free” guitar instruction materials are generally worth what you paid for them.
Instead there are a lot of clueless beginners who buy guitars thinking that its going to be fast and easy to learn guitar off the internet — then they find out that they’re NOT going to be good enough to be in their friend’s band in a month, get frustrated and quit.
Or they learn a few intros and solos to a half dozen songs from tabs they got off the Internet, but they skip over the basics of MUSIC. They can’t play chords or keep a steady beat when they’re playing rhythm, can’t improvise, follow a chord chart, or play anything they don’t have tabs for. Then they hit a wall in their guitar playing and come on here looking for advice on how to improve — and the advice is — TAKE SOME LESSONS. LEARN THE BASICS before you dive into playing solos right away. Learn what you’re doing and why.
If you’re truly interested in becoming a good musician on guitar, you can’t go into it expecting it to be fast and easy. You can learn a handful of chords in a few months, well enough to strum along on some simple 3 chord rock songs without messing up too badly. And if that’s all you want to do, great. But truly mastering the guitar takes YEARS, and its a neverending journey, because no matter how good you get you never run out of new things to learn about music.

I prefer a DVD, Can anyone reccommend one? I just recently got an Ovation Guitar and I want to learn to play, I’m 50 years old and have never played a musical instrument, but I’m ready to learn.

i think the best way to learn to play Guitar is with a Video , so you can watch also the finger movments and where to put your hand. Or you can get Guitar lessons by an music instructor who teaches Guitar lessons.
